Dates with almond butter

There are times where all you crave is something sweet. Not knowing what to reach for to satisfy it can lead you to the nearest cake or chocolate or in some instances both!

I absolutely love these snacks as the dates provide a natural sweetness and the almond butter is earthy enough to balance this sweetness.

You don’t have to put them in the freezer but it is so worth the wait as the dates take on a caramel like texture, then it really feels as though your indulging!

BEST way to satisfy a sweet craving!

You can make quite a few at a time and they will keep in a sealed container in the fridge for up to 3 daysย and the freezer for up to 1 week.

Dates with almond butter

Serves 1 or 2

Ingredients:

  • 4 fresh medjool dates
  • 2 TBSP almond butter

Method:

  1. Slice dates down the middle and remove pits.
  2. Add 1/2 TBSP almond butter to the middle of each one, close slightly.
  3. Place in the freezer for 20 minutes. Enjoy!

Note: you can substitute the almond butter with virtually any other nut butter, just make sure you check the ingredients to ensure there is only ONE – for example in almond butter there should only be almonds!
